The Library of the Archivio di Stato di Torino
The important library complex of the Archivio di Stato di Torino (Turin National Archive) is made up of three large blocks.
The Biblioteca Antica, the nucleus of which derived directly from the ancient Ducal collections, contains handwritten and printed books from the Middle Ages to the 19th century; the Biblioteca Nuova which contains books printed between 1800 and the 1930s; and finally, the Biblioteca Corrente contains books printed from 1945 to the present.
On request, it is possible to consult the books (on the premises) both ancient and modern, except those with conservation problems.
